| Case Study: Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Acoustics |
| The Challenge When Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship's sanctuary was built, there was little consideration given to the acoustic quality of the construction. The result was an acoustic environment that interfered with the intelligibility of sound in the space. After years of dealing with undesirable results of their sound system and complaints from their congregants, the church sought a solution for the acoustical problem. |
The SolutionCSI partnered with the consulting engineer to fine-tune a solution that would solve the problem. Teaming up with the construction company to execute the plan, CSI implemented absorptive materials throughout the entire sanctuary. The balcony had sound absorbing panels installed into the inside of its front facing surface, as well as customized panels cut to fit the angles of the side and rear walls of the sanctuary. The end result was the elimination of echo and tremendously increased intelligibility. The congregation was able to enjoy services without the distraction of the issues caused by the poor acoustics of the room. |
